BG does not *melt* tungsten. I have seen this with my own eyes
using a device under my own control. What it does do, is sublimate
the surface oxide coating. When doing this experiment, you will
note that there is no droplet of molten metal on the tungsten rod,
it just tapers down to a point. However when using copper iso
tungsten, there is a very apparent droplet of molten metal
suspended from the tip of the copper by the surface tension.
