Ackshully, I can share one tidbit.  The EMILIE we all know worked off a magnetic gradient of 0.8 gauss per degree.  The projected gradient of the new magnet array is 20 gauss per degree.  The really interesting thing is that, although the EM pulse must be much more intense (100 A at 110 V), the duration is much less due to the mucho higher RPM.  I won't even begin to speak of the COP because I can not believe my own calculations.
