[NewCandle] Joe Cell meets Anode Glow meets David Hudson

I honestly have not been able to come up with a very
linear way of throwing this out to the group, but I'll
start at the end and work back as an explanation...
Preface, first - I am a true neophyte when it comes to
CF - LENR lore, despite my time on Vortex and
corresponding with a few old timers in the discipline.
So because of that I'm bound to ask very silly
obvious questions, though usually for not so obvious
reasons.
So the query dujour... is there any sort of lore
regarding continued gas evolution - presumably
electrolytic - at the electrodes after power has been
turned off? Is this part of what I had heard called
"heat after death" or some such?
Sam Faile has been seeing this with his home-brew
anode glow mason jar foil strip reactors recently. It
was a result of Sam trying out a rather strange
recipe.
Back a few weeks ago, when I was in the midst of
working on the crystallization weight transients, Sam
had been playing around with precipitates from spring
water. That in turn had begun a few weeks before on
the heels of some discussion he and I had about
Wilhelm Reich's "Experiment XX" and how it related to
David Hudson's ORMUS claims, as well as the claims of
the thriving orme and m-state subculture. These of
course are the claims that when you precipitate
minerals out of water with pH adjustment, there is an
anomalous "something" extra that comes along for the
ride, the elusive orme components, etc. Sam had been
exploring the pH changes and precipitates one gets
from repeated freezing and thawing of spring water (in
this case it was mainly commercially sold Kroger and
Dannon spring waters, which are probably from a tap in
Scranton).
Now admittedly, the whole issue of why freezing and
thawing will change water pH and precipitate some
species is a puzzler in and of itself for me.
So anyway, Sam eventually harvested enough of the
presumably mostly CaCO3 + MgCO3 + ? precipitate to see
whether it had some of the esoteric properties the
ormus crowd (such as Barry Carter's group) talks
about.
One of the things Sam did with the white powder was
try adding a little to some distilled water in an
aluminum anode glow reactor. Fresh Al foil strips,
fresh jar, etc. The majority of the white precipitate
did not re-dissolve, but just laid on the bottom.
There must have been a small quantity that did
dissolve, because the conductivity of the water became
enough that an anode glow mode triggered, with usual
whitish green glow in the dark. However, the surprise
came when after about 120 hours of modest glow time,
Sam shut the power off, and for about 6 hours
afterward, the foil strips began bubbling vigorously
as if still electrolyzing or reacting. However, when
Sam pulled the strips from the water later, they were
not visibly eroded in the least.
At the moment, Sam is trying to characterize and
identify the gas (gasses?)
When all of this admittedly tortuous matter was
described to me, I told Sam it reminded me of some of
the Joe Cell stories I had heard and have seen
described. By the way, up until now, I have never
been all that interested in the Joe Cell because any
technology that relies on esoteric conditioning of
water, rubs the scientist in me the wrong way
(although the alchemist in me sits up and takes note).
So are there any Joe Cell experimenters out there who
have seen "bubbling after death"?
Strange matters, served non-linearly, upon the table;
any input or equally non-linear thoughts appreciated.
