[NewCandle] Royal Society offers free journal access

Hi All,

A list member wrote me off-list to mention that he was having some
problems accessing the journals. I went back to the site,
and sure enough, I seemed to be having problems as well!
So I wrote to the RS for clarification, which they did
provide. Here's the deal.

All archived material from their journals is available for
free until December 2006. However, articles published in
the last 12 months are _not_ free. Now what I did was what
I think a lot of people did, which was to do a search,
look at the results ( ranked of course by most recent date )
and get the pay-here message. The text at the homepage of
the RS makes no mention of this 12 month exception; I'll
bet a lot of people ended up frustrated with the system.

Anyway, that's the deal, I did download PDF's so I know it
works, with the important 12 month caveat. So do take advantage
of the archive while it's still publically available.
