Hey Keith,

Thanks for the balance idea.  I actually have an agate
balanced beam from an old Ainsworth balance that might
fit in a bell jar.  Hmmmm.

********Yes, your statement is correct.  I could see
fit to add the iffy caveat of the ratios of
temperature change to weight change for different
arrangements being potentially curious in a couple of
cases.  But yup.  Heat is the issue, even in wee
doses.
