[NewCandle] Group velocity FTL

Hi Terry,

Yes, and I disproved microwave FTL shortly thereafter. I did
it with a waveguide composed of 55 gallon drums, a
Farnsworth 300MHz oscillator, and an appropriate scope and
CT current probes. The effect reported by the researcher at
Marquette (sp?) was measurement error due to the fact that
he could not see the actual waveform cycle by cycle, 'coz
he was using microwaves and a diode detector. I did the
experiment based on the microwave journal article. My
experiment was the size of a large room ( about 4 or 5
drums long ) and I could look at the actual leading edge
of the pulse with my scope and probes.

It so happened that my Uncle is a Prof. in the Wisconsin
college system, and while visiting him I arranged for a meeting
with the researcher in question to discuss my results.
Needless to say, I was young, and didn't know better.
The meeting was OK, but not terribly productive.
Also needless to say, you haven't heard anything more
about the experiment, as it didn't work and couldn't
be made into a usable device.

Anyway, none of this has anything to do with the EM thruster
claim (grin). But you did get an amusing story out of me,
so there...

K.

FTL group velocity was proven ages ago. I have an article from Microwave Journal somewhere. If I can find it, I'll post it to
Vortex. Unfortunately, like entanglement, aka "spooky action at a distance", FTL information transfer was not demonstrated in the
article.

I'm really surprised some "relatives" did not think of this before.

Terry
