Peanut Gallery here.
How about the reverse of crystallization.? and endothermic.

I went to a medical supply store today and I picked up an "Instant Cold"
compress. by Formedica. Contents not listed.
It is a sealed plastic bag that contains an unknown granulated substance and
an (interior) bag of water. Instructions are to break the interior bag of
water and the dry chemical will then become hydrated. costs $2
I weighed the granules. 140 grams.

Might be ammonium nitrate. (danger Will Robinson) or it might be urea.

I also stopped at the sports store on the way home and picked up a "Hot
Pad", and I read the contents as: iron dust, activated charcoal powder,
cellulose, and zeolite. (how is that exothermic?)
