The past few months that had seen Sam Faile's
examination of aluminum foil mega-surface electrodes
have come around full circle, it seems. Had a long
discussion with Sam yeaterday, and he indicated that
if one waits a couple of days for the effects to kick
in, the H2 bubbles from his reactors will begin on
their own with no AC or DC power applied. The key
seems to be surface area. He somehow managed to
scrunch up a full 250 square feet of foil into one
nested twisted mass in the plastic tub version of his
reactor.
So it looks like we are back to the old "can you make
useful amounts of H2 from Al + water" paradigm. Hey,
I wonder if the aluminum in a passive water reactor
gives a passive "anode glow"? Need to check it out.
Speaking of anode glow, any word on what Horace H is
up to these days?
Regarding the Triox missive, I found out on Friday
that my boss had placed an initial contact call to
them on behalf of the company, so I'll hold off a
couple days to see what he digs up. Don't like to run
circles around der boss either:)
