**********Too bad. I think what was pulling my
occasional interest that way was the gnashing over the
claims of esoteric water conditioning... without which
things purportedly would not go into the Joe Mode.
Not that I'm any more of a glutton for punishment than
I used to be, its just that I've been chasing some
very queer notions of negentropy around, and looking
for where they might be rearing their heads in places
where experimenters will get good results for two or
three runs... then nothing.

********* I talked to Sam again today about this...
and it might have to do with the plastic vessels
("Snap-lock" PETE) he has been using. I know with my
runs in the glass mason jars, I would typically get a
slight shift up in pH - say from like 7.45 to 7.65
during the time the bubbling would kick in. So yeah,
pH moves around, though to a degree that to me seems
curiously small.

************Quite likely. It's getting pretty passe
for me, hence my inquiry into Joe arcana updates.

************** oh wow. Now there's an interesting
pickle. Let me spend some quality time with my CRC
manual over the next day or so and maybe something
will jump out at me. The Gee Whiz in me says
"magnetically, magnetically!" but I've no idea how
paramagnetic the two hydroxides are compared to each
other. Another guess would be something that would
reduce the one before the other, but that would be
destructive, so let me consult the grimoires.
