OK, I suppose the "free" energy part might be compromised if you
juiced the thing to get more H2O2....

If I understand this correctly, the input is basically the random
thermal variations, some of which can be far more energetic than
the average temp of the whole. Then as you might say, the real challenge is
in concentrating of the product to a usable form without wasting
all the "free" energy.
