Presumably, the alkaline versions would generate much
mo H2 faster than the slow catalyzing pure water
hydrolysis... which also seems to have the habit of
coming to an end once the hydroxide layer on the foil
surfaces is thick enough.

************Neato idea. What would be a good water
permeable dielectric separator membrane / layer
between the foil sheets? Soaky paper towel might
work. (Soaky Papertowel not related to Drinky Crow).
