So you think if I just caterized a few choice brain areas I could achieve
this higher level of understanding (grin).

Well to be fair, I have not built up the entire circuit and tested it. 
My opinion is based on what's been published on the internet, mainly
on Harti's OU site. 

As we had discussed, there is a welter of claims and circuits now.
Have things reached a point where there is one circuit which a
majority agree shows the anomaly? Better still, are we any closer
to such a circuit being available from Ron himself?

Yes, I suppose it means that when you put resistive elements in series they
add their resistances. 

BTW, the back to back LED circuit is a nice improvement. Now the
diodes will look more "resistor" like to the driver and there
won't be as much of a problem matching the voltage drops as
there was with the assymetrical version.
