As for this being "just" an efficient RF receivier, no
way!
Did I mention that he is now driving 12 LEDs to full
brightness? These normally require about 50 milliwatts
each for full brightness although they will be dim
with as little as 10.
No unpowered RF receiver imaginable is going to give
you close to a half watt of effective power... unless
you are halfway up the transmission tower !-)
I say "effective" power and "cold" electricity because
it is not like normal AC. You cannot rectify it into
DC for instance, nor drive most resistive loads.
Even if the effect is only limited to lighting
however, the fact that it is putative OU is very
important for the future development of (?something?)
- not sure what, just yet.
