Hey Nick,

How's about acetone? I've had pretty good luck drying
it with molecular sieve sufficient to be able to plate
sodium out of it. I think you'll end up with an
oxide layer on those particles whatever you do but
perhaps you have some clever handling/storage
techniques you've developed.

Hey folks,

I need some materials selection advice.  The topic is
a casimatter experiment, liquid phase.

Are there any (hopefully low viscosity) liquid
compounds that:

1.  Would be able to non-reactively suspend / enclose
micron to submicron spherules of aluminum...

AND

2.  Have as low an absorption or high a transparency
as possible, out past 250nm heading blue-ward.

Sam Faile suggested ethanol... but a really GOOD
anhydrous high purity grade of ethanol.

Any other suggestions?
