[NewCandle] Persona no-gooda arrives

Hi Kyle and John,
Nick pretty well summed up the thinking here; if you
have an interest in new physical phenomena and aren't
afraid to get your hands burned on the soldering iron
the door is open. We've somehow managed to go 3 years
without a flame war or other unpleasantness,
so if you don't mind the slower pace, you'll be rewarded
with better correspondence. Theory is welcome, but watch
out, this is a steaming nest of gear heads. If it
can't be dragged into the lab for study, it probably should
go elsewhere.
As for the technical details; you can send attachments
but there is a limit to the size. For some reason I
can't find that option on the configuration menu, so
you'll have to find out the size limit by experimentation
(sort of in keeping with the theme here...) A perhaps better
alternative is to send me the images and I'll put
them on the list server and post an URL in that message thread.
You can see what that looks like by looking at the archive.
That is probably the best way to ensure what you have gets
through to everyone, and people on slow connections won't
get bogged down by a megabytes of attachment unless they
really want it.
K.

Hi Kyle,
Welcome, and howdy.
Not to speak for our Keith, but I think that you'll
find the big difference here with this group is that
we are about 80% first hand experiments and results,
and 20% science articles and science news discussions.
I look forward to any experimental results you care
to share. Discussions here have tended toward OU,
LENR found in odd places, anode and cathode glow
discharges, and scanning electron microscopy. Not
been much kerfuffle about gravity, propulsion, drives,
thrusters for a while... Bring up some goodies to the
table, bitte! Do you have a patent number or favorite
linked paper? So many drives have come and gone, I
can't quite place this one by name.
Best,
nr

The Holy Grail 'neath ancient Roslin waits.
The blade and chalice guarding o'er Her gates.
Adorned in the masters' loving art, She lies;
She rests at last beneath the starry skies.
